01 — about

Right now I’m building for a fintech client, leading both the front-end and the back-end. I like turning rough ideas into things people actually use, and lately that has meant shipping them far faster by putting AI to work inside the process itself.

Before that I spent a few years building platforms for a university, and taught programming along the way. Different world, same job: figure out what people actually need, then build it.

Barkr AI Portal ↗
Micro-frontend portal for financial institutions covering asset valuation and collateral management. A host app loads around ten independently deployed React apps at runtime, backed by Firebase and Python FastAPI services, with subscription billing and a credit system metering submissions and contracts.

Barkr AI Website ↗
Corporate marketing site for Barkr, a fintech company providing AI-powered valuation of hard assets to support lending decisions at financial institutions. Built as a Next.js front end on a headless WordPress CMS, with Advanced Custom Fields modeled as a GraphQL schema so each page resolves exactly the fields it renders in a single query. Marketing keeps editing in WordPress while the public site ships as a containerized server-rendered app on Google Cloud Run.

A complete operations platform for a tailoring and dry-cleaning business, covering orders, per-piece production tracking, inventory, payroll, and a full double-entry accounting suite that auto-posts from daily operations. Works offline, with a separate touch interface for the shop counter and public order tracking for customers.

Data Annotation Platform
An internal platform where reviewers annotate and quality-check a collection of over 100,000 generated images, growing toward millions. Queued review feeds with a second-pass stage, bulk import and export, per-reviewer throughput analytics, role-based access with multi-factor authentication, and full activity auditing, with query and listener patterns tuned so read cost stays flat as the collection grows.

Catalogue Raisonné
A server-rendered catalogue raisonné documenting an artist's complete body of work. An ingestion pipeline parses archival source documents into structured catalogue entries carrying provenance, exhibition history and extracted page images. Server components sit on a managed SQL data layer with cached reads, a server-verified session model, and role-based access separating the public catalogue from internal curatorial views.
